I have two aging Labs. This food has been an integral part of maintaining weight and good health. No digestive issues with this food and this was an issue for one of the boys. Both have shiny coats, energy to play and really seem to like this food compared to others. But then...they are typical food-motivated Labs. Lol.

my dog and I love the product. I have a 14 yr old yellow female lab, and while she has been reducing her weight since beginning to use this product for her diet. The suggested amounts to feed her still had too many calories to reach her optimum weight.

How about a pure fiber kibble that has no fat, no calories that would 'fill' her as an addition to 1/2 of the recommended amount of daily food. The 1/2 amount was necessary to obtain any weight loss.
For 12 years her weight was 70#, rather suddenly one year ago she ballooned up to 89 pounds. I tried all kinds of food until i discovered your Canidae Platinum for Sr/Overweight dogs. It has taken around 16 months to reduce her weight to 87#.
The additional fiber would increase the volume of 'food' she ingests and yet still hold her to a caloric content that would not increase the problem.
Vets find nothing out of sorts to account for the weight increase, yet I believe the additional fiber would have brought about the weigh loss quicker and still fill her 'tummy'.

Previously, my Cairn Terrier, Molly, was on the All Stages Canidae, but since she will be 12 yrs old soon I switched to the Platinum. She loved both products!

My dogs love it

My two dogs, a beagle and basset hound, have eaten these food since puppyhood. They are now 7 years old and doing great. The breeder had fed this to his dogs and recommended it, so we continued feeding it to them. There are no issues, no digestive problems. I feed them the overweight brand because my basset hound tends to be heavy and puts on pounds easily. It works.
