Comments about Durapet Slow Feed Bowl:

This bowl has forced our 9 mo old to slow down while eating. His food is being better digested as a result.

Comments about Durapet Slow Feed Bowl:

I hate giving this a bad review. This is a VERY good product and the idea of it is GREAT. HOWEVER, saying that, it does NOT work for my dachshund. He was rescued from the streets and we have had him almost 3 years, however he is a FAST and I mean even the daycare couldn't believe it. We had recently tried the durapet PLASTIC feeder which should have slowed him down.. but it didn't.. We have another doxie and now HE gobbles his down fast because the minute Harry is done (like a minute..no lie) he tries to get Grinser's food. So I was hoping this would work. I WILL say it stays PUT .. like glue..EXCELLENT.. but it just doesn't work for Harry. I gave it 4 stars because I don't want a bad review to keep someone from trying it. I'm hoping maybe someone who reads this will have some advise? Thank you.

            Slowed down the Weimaraner's feeding

This rescued dog is fed twice a day and had gulped down her food but now there is a definite slow down to her eating. The medium bowl is good for the amount of food she gets for each feeding and the transition from the old bowl to the Durapet bowl was easy.

            Did the trick!

We have a Cairn Terrier who eats extremely fast. So fast that half the time she was choking and puking her food back up in seconds. This bowl did the trick. She still eats rather quickly, but not anything I'm worried about anymore! Instead of taking 15 seconds to wolf down 1/3 of a cup, it takes her a minute or two.

            Slowed him down!

My younger dog always gobbled down his food and ran over to Barkley's bowl to "help" him finish his. I was sick of having to stand guard over Barkley or put Shamus in another room so Barkley could enjoy his meal. This bowl definitely slowed Shamus down so we all are more relaxed at meal time! Stainless steel makes it easy to clean too!

            Too Big Nose

I purchased this bowl for Xmas for my Labradoodle. She eats like food has been outlawed. But she has a really big nose and muzzle and could not eat out of it! Wish there was a bigger one available..right now I spread her food all around the outside edge of her bowl to make her work for it. It seemed like a great product and heavy enough she couldn't move it.

I purchased the Durapet slow feed bowl for my Sheltie who would gobble his food up before the other dogs were done. It has helped him to slow down so now they all get done with their food at the same time. I also noticed he no longer is gassy and he is no longer uncomfortable after a meal. I would highly reccomend this product for dog owners that have dogs her gobble their food to prevent bloat which my guy seemed to have after a meal.

            best stainless steel slow-feed bowl

Very well made and easy to clean. It slowed down my pit bull terrier from inhaling his food by about 30%. A better solution that I found was mixing his regular kibble with Natural Balance Vegetarian Formula Dry Dog Food. You can adjust the ratio depending on how much you would like to slow down the eating. Natural Balance Vegetarian Formula Dry Dog Food is made for adult dogs of all breeds and provide the same essential nutrients found in diets with meat as the protein source. It is also made for dogs with allergies caused by meat or dairy products.
