This bowl helps to slow down a fast eating dog. It did the trick for ours.

Excellent alternative to other freeze-dried foods

I converted one of my pit bulls to a mixed raw/freeze-dried diet while dealing with his severe environmental allergies. The first brand we tried served us well for 5 months. He lost 12 lbs, developed a very nice shiny coat, and put on some muscle. But then I wanted to offer some different base mix vegetables so we tried Grandma Lucy's. The switch went quickly with no digestive upset. My bully seems to prefer this brand for the moment.

My dogs love Grandma Lucy foods. Coats look good. All have slimmed down. More muscled. Extreme engery! Ears look great. All around wonderful health. Very easy to feed. Takes a little longer then just putting kibble in a bowl. Dogs think it is worth the wait.

EXCEPTIONALLY well received, great food!

My dogs went bonkers, and believe me they have tried lots of dog foods. This is a great food, and I would highly recommend it. The ingredients are all human grade, and sourced from USA. The company is small and owner operated. The nutritional values are as good as most high end brands, and as I said, we liked it better than any other food we have tried :-) Freeze dried food is easy to prepare, just mix with equal parts hot water, and wait a few minutes. The amount I use is the same - a cup of dry freeze dried is about equal to a cup of kibble, and a 10lb bag lasts about the same as a 30lb bag of regular kibble, so the price is about comparable. The benefit of freeze dried is that it eliminates the high temperature processing to form and harden kibble. My dogs drink much less water when eating freeze-dried than regular kibble. All around extremely highly recommended!
