So, while our two cats (ages 13 and 3) are by no means the most particular when it comes to their dining choices, us owners are. They have both had some weight management issues in the past, so we usually have gone with a higher end "all-natural" weight management food. Having used the same brand of food since becoming cat owners for the most part also adds to that hesitation. However, after receiving a bag of Iams Proactive Health, we decided t give it a shot. WE mixed the Iams with our regular brand for about a week before fully switching over to the new stuff. I must say, we have been pleasantly surprised. Like I said, the boys aren't exactly particular, so no issues with them not eating. They same to like the taste just fine. In fact, they just reminded me it was time to eat, so all good there. One big positive that we have noticed is that they seem to be throwing up less. With the old stuff, they would eat so fast that it would often come right back up. Not so with the Iams. This is not to say that they don't like it. They are eating just fine. Maybe they are taking the time to savor the Iams more? Or maybe not being a weight management food, it satisfies a little bit more? I'm not sure why, but as long as they keep eating and seem to be fine, this is a definite plus. One thing that we were concerned about was that any time we tried a different brand in the past, we definitely noticed a change in litter box odor, and not for the better. I am happy to say that has not been the case since switching to the Iams. That scent has been no better or worse than before and everything "looks" OK as well. So, happy, healthy cats, better digestion, everything else the same equals all good. When you factor in that the Iams costs less than our previous brand, it seems fairly safe to say that we will be making the switch on a permanent basis. My only concern is with this not being a weight management food. However, 3 weeks in, and the boys seem to be holding steady (and not eating any more or less either), so things are looking good on that front as well. We will continue to keep an eye on that, but as long as their weight holds steady, I thin that we found our new food!

I received the Iams Cat Food with instructions on how to transition our cat to the food. I was excited to try this cat food out on our two cats, especially since it is supposed to be a better brand than the cheaper one we currently use for our cats. It was nice that we had instructions on how to transition our cats to a different food, as I think before we've just given them the new stuff. This time we followed the instructions. I have to say that I am not impressed with the product. It seems to be like any other lower end cat food on the market. One of our cats had a real problem with the food, and he threw up three times. Our other cat, on the other hand, had no problem with the transition and enjoyed eating the food. There is no real odor to the cat food which we liked in our household. I do not think we will be trying this cat food again.

horrible food

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

This food is horrible for our 4 legged friends. Cats are not meant to digest corn and cant. This food is full of fillers--corn grain and by products don't belong in cat food. Try an alternative like taste of the wild, it is decently priced and has no by product

Cats loved it!

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

My cats were happy with the Iams food from the first time I started giving it to them. I did begin giving it to them slowly, adding a little at a time for about a week until I had switched them completely over. They were both happy with the food, so much so I wanted to buy another bag but I had trouble finding it. I need to check a few other places though. All in all, I would say the food is definitely worth giving a try; I think your cat (s) will love it!!

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

Our cats over the years have gone from eating anything to being very picky. They become very brand loyal land tend not to go for any new stuff. We have tried more expensive stuff and that doesn't effect their tase at all. So, trying this Iams product was a no brainier, the cats would maybe eat a little and that was it. Wow, to my surprised they love this stuff. They gotten to the point, they are eating way more than we really should let them have. So, I have to admit I am surprise they love this product. I am very happy more because this is such a good value food for them to be eating too. IAMS is natural , wonderful balanced cat food and is good for our cat as well. I would highly recommend you try this product on your cats.. Even on the cats who stub most new things. I think you be surprised as I was about IAMS as well

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

When I signed up for this campaign I was worried my cat would not like it. She is overweight and needs to lose a few pounds. As soon as I put the bag of Iams cat food on the floor my cat went crazy. She instantly started smelling the bag and rubbing up against it, then she started pawing and scratching at the bag. ( I was laughing) She couldn't wait till I opened the bag. She LOVES this food!! i am so happy she likes it. She has lost one pound!!

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

Diego, my cat, seemed to enjoy this food a lot. I tried to slowly do the transition to this new food but it did not happen as planned. Diego couldn't care less. He normally eats Iams indoor weight control and he did not have any problems switching to Iams proactive health. I have two more cats over 9 years old that tried this food as well without any problems. They all seemed to enjoy the taste. And the size of the kibbles is spot on, in my opinion.

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

I received Iams Proactive health cat food from Iams to try and review. My cat really seemed to enjoy this food. It has a pleasant smell. It doesn't cause any bowel problems for my cat. No diarrhea or constipation. I like it because I love knowing my cat is getting the nutrients she needs. Plus, it's made by Iams. A well known and trusted brand. I would definitely purchase this food in the future!

Cats can be so finicky

Comments about Iams Proactive Health Multicat with Chicken and Salmon Dry Cat Food:

Our sweet little fluff ball Princess Amber Rosebud Von Dainty Paws - aka Amber, usually has a sweet go with the flow personality. But that is not what happened with her Iams. We thought it would be something she would love when she cam running over to the first bowl we filled and ate it with gusto!! We thought we had a winner. But over the next feedings she ate less and then began to protest. So we went back to her other food. Odd thing though - she seems to see the Iams as treats, as she will eat them in small amounts or will do her "tricks" for them. So she must like them, but think they are too special for everyday?? I talked to a few of my other cat parent friends and they said for them it was usually take it or leave it with food for their cats. Not something that they liked and then didn't and then liked again. So we are doling them out to her a few at a time and now and then as a special meal. She is an odd little girl - but we love her!! Thanks for the chance to introduce her to something new.
