Disappointed with Smothered Comfort

By

from St. Louis, MO, United States

I purchased 5 cans of smothered comfort and found whole chicken bones and a very soupy consistency. I've been very happy with other recipes, but will not purchase this recipe again. Scott Pinkman

Dogs go crazy for this food!

We have a picky eater with only a few teeth remaining (due to neglect from a previous owner). We mix wet food with dry food and he goes absolutely nuts for this food!! When we open the can and bring the bowl out, he jumps up and down and will actually finish his entire bowl of food (this never happens)! The soft bone is incredibly soft - you can break it up easily with a spoon which we do prior to giving him the food. The gravy/liquid in the can is great to mix with the dry food as well. Although this is our dogs' favorite flavor, they also love the other flavors - wingaling, the spring time one, the baseball themed flavor (brats and tots), working dog stew - you name it, they love it!

Her favorite!

Our 11-year-old Great Dane/Mastiff isn't overly fond of chicken, but this one is her favorite flavor. She likes getting the whole thigh, and the bone is soft enough after pressure-canning to be easy on her old teeth. We've tried many brands over the years, and have found Merrick to be the best compromise between her palate and our pocketbook!

My dogs love it

This canned food has real whole chicken thighs in it. I appreciate feeding my dogs human grade good. The bones are very soft and even my small 6lb dog eats it no problem. This food is a great treat.

not sure what is in the canned food she didn't like but she refused to eat the food. My daughter tried it for her dog and he didn't eat it either. I guess I will donate the food to a shelter. I've tried other Merrick food and they were fine.
