Cats thrive on a grain free diet high in quality protein with moderate fat levels and low levels of carbohydrates. That's why Purrfect Bistro Grain Free Healthy Senior Chicken Cat Food provides balanced nutrition using real whole foods sourced from local farmers. This natural, 100% grain free formula cat food is ideal for adult cats 7 years and older with a focus on supporting senior health.

Deboned chicken is the first ingredient and, along with chicken and turkey meals, helps comprise the 70% protein level of meat sourced ingredients that are highly digestible and rich in essential fatty acids. Fresh produce like sweet potatoes and peas provide easily digestible carbohydrates that offer the benefit of sustained energy without upsetting grain-sensitive digestive systems. This high quality grain free diet is fortified with vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and antioxidants.

Not all brands make their own food. We put cooking and quality under one roof. Our five-star kitchen and manufacturing facilities uphold the strict guidelines well defined by the FDA. Our Merrick recipes are made using farm fresh ingredients locally sourced to ensure the highest quality. As a result, our recipes are 100% free of ingredients from China.

Can I just say again, WOW! I got this and the Healthy weight ones and my cats almost chewed through the bag trying to get at it! I have 4 babies and they ADORE THIS FOOD! I actually use it as a treat as well and they gobble it up! Love that no ingredients come from China and it's grain free! I mix the two food and add another to make my vet happy, she's a Hill's lover, but they LOVE LOVE LOVE this food!

Quality, and I highly recommend it. ;)

Mew!

I purchased this Merrick to replace Innova Evo dry food that was recalled. I like that this is grain-free, and it isn't full of *too* many silly ingredients like sweet potatoes and cranberries (although it has both of those). When it arrived my cats were very excited. I found, though, that only one would eat it. I feed my cats on a schedule, and it is very rare to come to serve them dinner and find their breakfast still in the bowl. This was happening consistently with two of my cats.

I also noticed that the Merrick has almost half the calorie density of the Evo (353 kcal/cup vs 602). My cats should have been starving!
