Poor instructions

Comments about Midwest Black E-Coat Exercise Pen with Door:

It's a good size, but the instruction that came with it wasn't helpful at all. I ended using zip ties to secure the fence section alongside the door latch. The rubber rolls that came with it were quite useless. My pup could easily get them off. I recommend you purchase the life touch one instead.

      Perfect containment option

We needed an area to hold our puppies during the day and this folding pen met our needs perfectly. It is easily moved (with pups inside) to clean up puppy messes. It was large enough to hold 4 pups. Really a great option.

Great to take my cat outdoors

I bought one so I could create a 3-sided area where my cat could go out of the house onto a patio. I bought one and it was great, so I bought a second one a week later for a cottage.

      Perfect for our GSD puppy

Scratches the floor a little because the floor protectors are easily nibbled off by industrious puppies. Holds up even to a 30lb GSD puppy launching himself at the cats through the pen. Great quality and super easy to set up. I'd buy more panels if I were penning both our pups or taking it out for camping so they could stretch out.

Love the flexibility of an Ex Pen

As a rescuer and trainer, I much prefer an ex pen to a crate in most circumstances. I can fold it flat to store; maneuver it to enclose a larger or smaller space; use it as a very long baby gate; use it as temporary fencing when travelling; and much more. These are easy to move around or take in the car. I can fit several dogs in it at the same time and know they are safe for the day.

      Exercise Pen w/ Door

It's a little bit flimsy but holds up. My pup is very tiny tho so he couldn't do much damage, but if he were bigger I could see him being able to knock it down.

Exercise Pen Pros and Cons (X-Large Size)

Pros: Contains pet(s) with room to move around in. Extra Positive on the way it folds and stores with no separation of parts. I also use when traveling and leave them in a hotel room so Hotel Personnel can clean room without dogs interfering.
Cons: 48" is too tall causing walls to not be stable. If you have a large dog that likes to jump up and lean, they will cause harm to themselves if not properly grounded outside with stakes. If indoors, make sure to have room walls support two sides and use wall anchors.
