Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct LID Grain Free Turkey Meal Formula Dry Cat Food:

I have 4 cats, ranging in age from 6 to 9 years old, each of which has various food allergies. As you can imagine, it's difficult to find a food that accommodates each cat's allergies since it's not really possible to feed them each their own food. I have tried numerous foods over the years, and while many offered some improvement, this is the first that offers complete relief for my cats. No throwing up, no dull coat or dandruff, and they actually eat it and like it! I have not had as much success with the rabbit flavor, as it causes occasional vomiting for some of my cats. I wish this company would make more flavors in the LID food so that I could rotate the protein source for my cats.

I also care a lot about the ingredients in the food, and this one is pretty good. I'm not saying it's the absolute best, but the ingredients are quite good as far as cat foods go, and it is a fair value for the price. I have also tried the Acana and Orijen foods, which I think have superior ingredients and manufacturing practices, but unfortunately they combine too many protein sources and my cats don't do as well on them. For now we will stick with this food, but I will probably continue to search for additional LID single-protein foods so that I can rotate my cat's proteins.

It's the most protein/least carb heavy, non-rando veggie/fruit/starch hard food that I have been able to find that the kitkats like....and this all serves well for my diabetic (though not as main food), allergy-prone, and run-o'-the-mill cats:)
