I own a pit bull and border collie mix, have tried tons of different bones and toys to keep these strong chewers happy and this is the only one they keep coming back to and last longer than five minutes. It keeps their attention for a long time plus our border collie had problems chewing our stuff until we got her these bones :) Bacon is good for everyone.

Was hoping that since my dog LOVES Healthy Edibles but does not really care for plain Nyla Bones, this might be a good middles ground - tasty but not something she can eat in a few days. Unfortunately, she had very little interest from the minute I opened it.

Needed something to replace bully sticks for a diet

By

Comments about Nylabone DuraChew Bacon Flavor Bone Dog Toy:

Maddie is 5lbs overweight and I have been trying to get her weight down for awhile now. She's eating diet canned and dry food to the Vets specifications, getting walks, going to the dog park now that it's nice out, but she's hooked on bully sticks. She will whine until my husband gives her one, she has him wrapped around her little paw! We tried the Nylabone as a replacement and while it didn't work as well as I had hoped I'm convinced we are on the right track. She liked it but still asked for a bully stick. I think we will order a few more flavors and see what happens

Got the bone quick - and she's learning to love it

Comments about Nylabone DuraChew Bacon Flavor Bone Dog Toy:

She absolutely loves the bone. i think she knows it good for her teeth because she shows little interest in it right now. I imagine when she gets older she'll want to chew it more.

Super Tough!

By

Comments about Nylabone DuraChew Bacon Flavor Bone Dog Toy:

I was looking for a durable bone that would hold up well against a teething labrador. It's shorter in length than I expected, and horribly loud against wooden floors, but it's certainly tough. I think my pup would have preferred something with a bit more "give". The nylon is rock hard.

Comments about Nylabone DuraChew Bacon Flavor Bone Dog Toy:

My dog ripped open the package by herself, but wasn't terribly impressed once she got in - it may grow on her, though.

This serious chew toy keeps our 65 lb. GShep-mix girl busy, busy, busy! Best way to deal with excessive chewing is lots of allowed things to chomp on....will buy this again, but looks like it will last a long, long time!

My border collie mix is a powerful chewer and can destroy some chew bones in a very short time. These last a long time! She carries these all over the house to chew on them.

Keeps my chewer happy for months!

Many 'durable' chew toys for 'powerful chewers' have been destroyed by my mutt. She is only a medium size dog (20 lbs) but has a strong jaw. The Nylabone chew bone keeps her busy for months. I give it to her when she is bored and in need of a distraction and put it away when she tires of it. She loves it.

      Not for every dog

Like all toys, some dogs love them, some dogs don't. Unfortunately for me, mine did not. So he's back to chewing up my baseboards, and I'm back to trying to find a substitute.
