My dogs love the product as a added bonus to the Orijen...

The only change is when it is packed for shipment it needs to be separated from the two large bags of dry dog food I also buy. Each time I have bought the freeze-dried and dry dog food it is packed in one box and the freeze dried becomes mush; which I am not able to split between my two dogs as a added treat at meal time (the round individual patties are no longer). This has happened on every shipment.

Ok, yes, they are spoiled with this food because its priced like filet minion of dog food, but boy do they light up when the bag opens. Can't believe how many people tell me their dogs dont even enjoy their food. Sad. So we spend the money on what we believe to be excellent food & hope its insead of at a vet, which they don't enjoy so much.

Have tried other raw, dehydrated foods but when they became difficult to get was lead to try this. They like this better!

Must admit, it smells pretty good :) like the fact not a lot of other added to the food. Do wish the veg was organic for the price.

Did notice they changed the shape of the patties some to be flatter & more uniform. Thought it smelled slightly different / better then, but think ingredients on the bag are the same. Must have got a new extruder or something...

They can eat this dry or rehydrated so its very convienient if we take them out with us.

The main downside is the cost. We mix with Ziwi kibble to add variety & save some $. Our dogs are both small, a poodle & maltese. If we had large dogs, would have to use as treats or sell the house, lol. Hoping the Tundra dry is available in this country to try soon.

Meanwhile, can't think of a better way to treat our pooches well until I have enough time & freezer space to make something fresh for them myself.

We have three dogs (2 big, 1 teeny and spoiled) and we've been feeding them Regional Red dry kibble. We're still feeding them the dry kibble, but we supplement with a medallion each for the big dogs and a quarter of a medallion for the little one. The reason why we decided to do this is because we've been toying with the idea of a raw diet, but we do not like the quality of fresh meats from the supermarkets as all the cheaper cuts of chicken, beef, or pork are all grain fed, which changes the quality of the meat from Omega -3 to Omega-6. Omega-6 in too large a quantity is inflammatory.

Anyway, our little one who is 12 has no arthritis (an inflammatory disease) -- just got her teeth cleaned and the vet was amazed that she has no inflammation or gum disease at her age -- especially because her teeth were covered with tartar.

The large bag includes 21 medallions (I counted) about the size of a small to medium coin purse (bigger than I thought they would be). It is pricey, but so is all the medications for gum disease and arthritis!

As Good As It Gets

This stuff is truly as good as it gets in dog food. I especially love that it includes the ground bones, which dogs digest for calcium. It also includes numerous fruits and vegs, which reassures me that my dogs won't be missing any vitamins, minerals or trace nutrients. And my dogs love it! If your dog is put off by the dry texture, you can crumble the medallions and moisten with a little unsalted broth.

I personally love Orijen foods but my current furkid turn out to be gighly allergic t most common protein so I couldn't feed her orijen dry...then one day I found tundra god treats and she loved them and what was even better had proteins she is not allergic too so once they had the freeze dried available I bought a couple of bags to try....she loves it!!! And for now I'm using it as a complement to my pup dry food since it can get expensive to only feed this food.
