Discerning size

This is a great product--I would give it five stars, however, I bought two different sizes--one package was 4-6 inches and the other package with 7-9 inches. The reason why I only get four stars is because all bones are approximately 6 to 6 1/2 inches.

Twister PREFERS their knees

Bought all 3 Varieties of the Venison Joe Bones, as I can't get raw femurs from my butcher anylonger and she'd chew on them every couple of days. Bought the Pure Buffalo Bone and she thought they were okay but if a Pure Buffalo Kneecap come out of the freezer I know I won't see it for a couple of day besides in her mouth. She's an aggressive chewer, there has been no trauma to the femur at all, if that is what you're looking for. .

Long lasting and loved by both dogs!

I've been looking for something to satisfy my dogs' chewing needs and instincts that is a healthy alternative to rawhides and to well-known brands of dental treats and biscuits that I've recently learned are either produced in, or their ingredients sourced from, China. Just prior to introducing them to the Buffalo Meaty Femur bones, I had given them some Elk antlers to chew. They really seemed to enjoy the antlers, but once I introduced the Buffalo bones, they abandoned the antlers for what to them must be a tastier alternative, their new Buffalo bones.
Not only are they a hit with my dogs, but I'm finding that they last MUCH longer than the 10-12'" rawhides that they had previously been given. By comparison, in the same time period they've had the Buffalo bones (two weeks), they would have gone through at least 2 rawhides each. In the same period, the Buffalo bones are still almost entirely intact and I can be confident that their chewing needs are being met and their dental hygiene is also being enhanced. This, then, is a very cost-effective alternative, as well.

Bones seem to splinter off

I have two dogs a beagle and a bulldog. Both of them are chewers... So I thought these bones would be great, unfortunately they have a problem with little sharp pieces that break off. So order the knuckles instead.. They had had several hours of chewing on them and no splinters.
