I highly recommend these bones. I have a small beagle and bulldog. The bones are large but it didnt stop my beagle for a minute. These are great bones they dont break off and splinter like the femur bones. If your dog likes too chew this is a great bone that will last for hours/days... As for the other review about greasy maybe just a bit but once the chewing starts they pretty much take that all away quickly. I just placed an old towel on the floor and problem solved.

TOO BIG

these are bigger than my 11 pound pugs head. i really wish people would be more clear about the dog they have and it should be required if you're going to post a review....Read complete review

these are bigger than my 11 pound pugs head. i really wish people would be more clear about the dog they have and it should be required if you're going to post a review. someone posted a review saying they had a small breed dog, so I assumed these were a size for a small dog. yeah, its perfect for 10 small dogs. if you have a large dog, these would be great.

Maybe more pictures of the package would help as well on this site, so you can see the weight of the package etc ...

Kind of a pain to order something that takes 2 weeks, only to get it and it's not right.

My dachshund loves this bone. She sits on it, in her bed, liked a hen on it's chicks.

My Rotties loves these and they clean teeth well too!

My two Rotties are 7 years old and their teeth really need to be cleaned. After letting them gnaw on these knuckle bones for 2 weeks I see less tartar, and we're talking about 7 years worth of accumulation! I was also able to scrape off with a scaler a good amount of tartar afterward and it was quite easy to remove and now their teeth are nice and white. However, they still may need their dental cleaning as periodontal disease can take place under the gum so cleaner teeth is just cosmetic.. However, I am happy they get to enjoy scraping these bones and get some dental benefits too.

I have a bulldog and a beagle and both of them love to chew. I had gotten these because they dont splinter and they give them a challange. They also last more than a few days.

She's in Love!!!

Twister truly only loved fresh femur bones I could get at our butcher,,,Loves that marrow. Tried Venison Joes in all 3 flavors and she doesn't really care them, but if it's the only thing out to chew and she has a yearn to chew those are the bones she chooses over all the old dead bones she's had for years.
NOW the Buffalo Knuckle is another story. After I take them out of the ziplock bag I have her hold her bone so I can reclose the bag and replace it in the freezer. She'll try and sneak away to get to chewing on the knuckle as fast as possible. She knows I still have to remove the outer plastic wrapping. So I have to ask her to bring it back to me so I can remove the plastic.
After giving it back to her I KNOW I won't see her for meals for the next 2 days b/c she's busy chewing the knuckle apart. Yes, knuckles do come apart. This is her 2nd Buffalo Knuckle and it's taken her 30" to start separating out bones. Great when Twister needs to loose about 5 lbs. Last knuckle lasted her about 5 days before I took it away from her, there was only a nub left of it.
Going to try a shoulder also with my next auto-shipment. The 4"-6" inch Buffalo Bones is just a smidge above the Trader Joe's in her mind. No Smell, at least to me but I also have bad allergies..

Great Bone!

I own an 85 pound black lab. Labs are such gentle dogs but they do have very power jaws. These bones are great; I highly recommend them! She works at it and loves it - and still goes back to it days later. Some other bones I've ordered I've had to take away from her because she destroys them, and I'm afraid she'll swallow a sharp shard. Not with this bone! Love that they come in a 2-pack, too. Well worth the price.

The dogs keep going back to them

I've tried other knuckle treats and after the initial gnawing of an hour or so, my 2 Boxer dogs loose interest. Not so with these buffalo femur knuckles - they've been chewing on them for a few days now. After they eat their supper they both find the knuckles and chew on them for about a half hour or so. No sharp edges, no splinters, etc.

As for grease spots, I put down a big old blanket the first day or so, after that there's no grease anymore that I've noticed.
