Description

Peace of mind comes in different ways! Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Dry Dog Food is for the nutritional management of lower urinary tract disease and weight gain. If the pet you love has or is at risk for either of these physical issues, Royal Canin’s vet diet is the answer! Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie dry food for dogs takes on canine lower urinary tract disease due to calcium oxalate and struvite urolithiasis. It increases the urine volume, which simultaneously reduces the saturation of urine with calcium oxalate and struvite crystals. To address the predisposition to weight gain, Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Dry Dog Food includes less fat and fewer calories. This vet diet from Royal Canin is truly therapeutic!

I have been giving my dog Stella & Chewy's and Honest Kitchen. My dog is now 12 and has a urinary tract infection and Struvite Crystals. My vet put my dog on this food and the canned. My dog looks at me like why are you giving me corn, rice and innards instead of the beef, chicken or venison plus dehydrated blueberries, cranberries, bananas, spinach, broccoli, squash, carrots, eggs, etc. I don't understand what is in this product that makes it so special that I can downgrade his diet to such as this. Please Royal Canin if you have such a market on making a prescription food for urinary tract problems, can you not add healthier ingredients along with it. If not, how about you get out of the prescription food market and possibly provide a supplement only for Urinary SO issues. I have not even been on this food 1 week yet. Since I am giving my dog such an inferior product while taking his antibiotics, I hope it does the job. I would hate to be giving him a food with low quality ingredients and not fixing the urinary issues too. The only reason I am giving this food a rating of 2 is that I am optimistic that the urinary issues will disappear and then we are replacing this food with something healthier. I would love to hear from you as to why you think I such keep my dog on this prescription food.

This food works very well so that my dog doesn't form crystals in his urine. Also, he loves the moderate calorie, which we switched to because he's getting older and a bit less active. Great product!!

Life saver

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Moderate Calorie Dry Dog Food:

This food saved my dogs life! My mini Schnauzer was plagued with bladder stones. After one operation to remove 6 stones the size of marbles, her stones were coming back. She was on the Prescription Hills brand for urinary track issues and the stones were coming back! My vet switched her to the Royal Canine Urinary SO and not only were the stones dissolved, in 5 years on this food she has never been so health.
