I rescued two kittens nearly two years ago, brothers, they weighed in at 2.5 pounds and 3.5 pounds..At 2.5 pounds this kitty wasn't thriving and the rescue felt he may do better at home so I got to take them home with me. They were prenamed Allie and Barley, and were almost 2.5 months when I got them. After visiting our Vet, he put them on this food - they have never had stomach issues, their health has been wonderful and I attribute this to a good balance of this nutritious dry and variety of wet foods.. My vet says the dry food is the most important for their nutrition and health and that wet is very important for gaining additional water, but not for the nutrients.. My babies now 2.5 years old are a healthy 19 and 21 pounds and they are in great health. They love the smell of the food every time I open the bag they come running. I think it amazing that in 2.5 years, they never tire of this! this speaks volumes to me when it comes to finicky kitties. So good job Royal Canin!! Thank you

My six year old 23 pound cat has had constipation and blockage issues since reaching adulthood. After having to endure several trips to the vet and having to be admitted on several occasions for enemas and treatment in past years, he is finally having normal bowl movments thanks to this dry food. It's been only 1 week since I started him on this diet so maybe more time will be needed to give a proper review but so far so good. I was giving him miralax with his wet food and pumpkin with his dry food but never seemed to get his digestive issues to improve enough until now. The miralax caused his stool to be very much like play dough in consistency and he struggled in the litter box all the time. Since starting him on this dry food I've noticed he drinks much more without my encouragement and his stool is ideal according to the stool chart at my vet. I still put a little canned pumpkin with his wet food that he has twice daily and leave dry food out all the time (watch out, my dog loves sneaking the dry cat food any chance she gets. Must taste appealing to dogs also?). I hope this review is helpful to anyone experiencing similar feline constipation issues with their pet and will follow up in a few weeks to review this dry food again with more long term information. Good luck with your pet.
My 5 year old cat was throwing up very frequently. After he threw up some blood, my vet gave him some medication for a week and switched him to this wonderful food. He has been on the Gastrointestinal High Energy diet for almost 2 months and is doing GREAT!! He is a somewhat finicky eater, but LOVES both the dry and canned versions. Thank you Royal Canin!!
My little Chinchilla Persian was diagnosed with serious liver disease, and had dropped from 2.9kg to 2.2kg and not eating. Vet fitted an o-tube, and I was feeding RC instant convalescence through the tube, which was maintaining a small gain but she was eating very little on her own. Within a week of trying this product, she was up to 2.6kg! We have now removed the tube, and she is eating happily and is active and playful. The food smells great and she needed no encouragement to eat it.
A few years ago after a severe bowel blockage, a few harrowing days at the vet, and several hundred dollars later, I learned that my kitty can't tolerate most cat foods out there...even the high quality ones. But two years later between mostly wet food and free feeding on this throughout the day, she's a new cat. Soft, healthy coat, no straining in the litter box, regular movements, and almost zero vomiting. This food saved her life!
I do Love product - 17 # bag would be nice since I have multiple felines.
This prescribed food has helped one of my cats that experiences IBS. He hasn't been so content in a very long time. I have it on auto ship because when my cats are happy, I'm happy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My cat suddenly had unexplained diarrhea. Nothing was found in vet checks, but when I changed to this food, the problem ceased! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My cat suddenly could not tolerate the food that she had been eating for years. She was having diarrhea until my vet suggested that I buy this. It took care of the problem almost immediately!
