Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PR Canned Cat Food:

My cat suffers from allergies and has itchy skin. The vet prescribed this food and my cat unfortunately does not care for it. However, she eats it better than the Hills diet (which she refused to eat all together) but unfortunately nothing compares to the Cats in the Kitchen pouches by Weruva which I guess she cannot eat now due to her allergies. I do not like the fact that Royal Canine has carrageenan and it is very surprising since it is a prescription diet. I am a new cat owner so I am still learning but I read this is not good for animals or people to eat.

My cat has been on a prescription diet for almost a year now after being diagnosed with an allergy to chicken. At first he really took to the canned food but after a few months it's become hard to get him to eat it at all. I've tried all the Select Protein meats, veal, duck and rabbit. The duck made his IBS worse, so I've stuck to veal and rabbit. I know the switch from chicken has improved his intestinal problems but getting him to eat is a daily chore.

My cat Sadie was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and my vet prescribed Royal Canin Rabbit and Green Pea diet. Sadie has been on this diet for almost two months without a bout of intestinal discomfort and is gaining back the weight she lost before her diagnosis. Best of all she is no longer a finicky eater and eats every bit of her food at every meal.

Quick Shipping and Less Expensive Than The Vet

This has been a good diet for our cat, who has developed food allergies recently; she seems to enjoy it. The price was less than what our vet charged and shipping was free and quick.

The cats have been on this food for almost 2 years.

This food is way too expensive to feed it solely to the cats. I do have to mix it somewhat and that is the only way they will eat it. It is also very inconvenient to have to go thru the prescription procedure each time. I am in the process of changing Vets to see if the problem really was the food allergy or a skin problem. Until then Pet Flow has the best price on the food as long as I get it on sale.

I ordered a case of this food online on a Tuesday. It had been prescribed by my veterinarian for my 15 year old cat. The food is $.45 cheaper thru your website than from my vet's office. The case arrived two days later. We were very pleased.
