Description

While Mr. Meowgi may think he’s the smartest thing alive, let’s face it: doctors know more than cats. And sometimes the doctor says it’s best for your friend to go on a special diet. Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary SO Canned Cat Food is made just for cats with dangerous urinary tract disorders, including those suffering from struvite crystals. It helps increase urine volume and maintain a crystal-free urinary tract, but all your buddy needs to know is this: Chicken Liver!

Why We Love It
• Lower magnesium content to prevent struvite stones from forming
• Contains heart-healthy taurine
• Promotes healthy lower urinary tract
• Recommended by vets!

Royal Canin Veterinary Diets are only available with a prescription from your pet’s veterinarian. For more information, chat with one of our live representatives right now.

Available in a 5.8 oz can (pâté) and a 3 oz can (morsels in gravy).

After nearly dying from a severe urinary blockage, my vet recommended that my cat, Jazz, be put on Royal Canin's Urinary SO formula for the rest of his life. At first, I was nervous that Jazz would not like his new diet, but he quickly finished his first dish and has eaten it ever since. Royal Canin's food has helped Jazz stay happy and healthy.

One guy, a Meezer-blend rescue has oxalate crystals in bladder, going for surgery soon. Vet gave me SO loaf cans but not one will eat this...the sick one ate a few bites and walked away, despite being obviously hungry. However, they do like the crunchies version...but that does not provide fluid, and if everyone does not drink enough it would be disastrous...very anxious! Plan to try the gravy version...they all like gravy-food, with chicken or turkey as the main ingredient. The loaf has pork, I believe, as higher amount...and fish is in there...my guys don't like fish! Sick one is 5 yo, as are the 2 girls, and one chubbo is 10 years old...even he only barely touched the loaf food and wanted to bury it...and we all know what that means. ;)

My cat was blocked almost 3x and this food has kept his urine flow smooth and abundant. I can't thank Royal Canon enough creating this miracle in a can.

Perfect!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline URINARY SO Canned Cat Food:

When my cat had to get put on SO after bladder surgery back in 2013 it was not an easy (or cheap) transition. Vet said a hard no to dry food ever again. Kitty refused to eat the pate version of the SO and would cry over and over for his dry food and it was so hard to sleep. I tried sticking treats in the pate but he would only eat the treats and not the food.

Then eventually I discovered the GRAVY version of this food and omg it was a lifesaver. Kitty loves it! He's happy and so am I, I won't buy anything else.

Cat loves it, no re-occurrence of urinary crystals

By

After having my cat end end up in an emergency animal hospital in 2014 with a urinary blockage - vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary SO. Seems to be doing the trick - no further issues.

Great product

By

I have been giving this to my cats that had urinary tract infections. Oddly they were all females about 8 years old. I haven't had any problems since they started this diet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Life Saving Meals

By

from Undisclosed

I started buying and using both the Urinary SO canned (case) and Urinary SO dry 7.7 lb bag cat food after we almost lost our cat to his urinary issue. He loves his food especially when I mix both to give him that little extra crunch. He is now comfortable and content from eating this life saving food. Adult Kitty Cat Canned Food

By

from Boston, MA, United States

I have used this prescription food for years. Had to switch from dry to canned due to senior cats digestive needs and they love it. I do have to watch one of my 2 cats as this food tends to put on weight and he struggles with weight issues. They prefer this to the moderate calorie morsels or the S/O line of food.
