Description

While Mr. Meowgi may think he’s the smartest thing alive, let’s face it: doctors know more than cats. And sometimes the doctor says it’s best for your friend to go on a special diet. Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary SO Canned Cat Food is made just for cats with dangerous urinary tract disorders, including those suffering from struvite crystals. It helps increase urine volume and maintain a crystal-free urinary tract, but all your buddy needs to know is this: Chicken Liver!

Why We Love It
• Lower magnesium content to prevent struvite stones from forming
• Contains heart-healthy taurine
• Promotes healthy lower urinary tract
• Recommended by vets!

Royal Canin Veterinary Diets are only available with a prescription from your pet’s veterinarian. For more information, chat with one of our live representatives right now.

After nearly dying from a severe urinary blockage, my vet recommended that my cat, Jazz, be put on Royal Canin's Urinary SO formula for the rest of his life. At first, I was nervous that Jazz would not like his new diet, but he quickly finished his first dish and has eaten it ever since. Royal Canin's food has helped Jazz stay happy and healthy.

One guy, a Meezer-blend rescue has oxalate crystals in bladder, going for surgery soon. Vet gave me SO loaf cans but not one will eat this...the sick one ate a few bites and walked away, despite being obviously hungry. However, they do like the crunchies version...but that does not provide fluid, and if everyone does not drink enough it would be disastrous...very anxious! Plan to try the gravy version...they all like gravy-food, with chicken or turkey as the main ingredient. The loaf has pork, I believe, as higher amount...and fish is in there...my guys don't like fish! Sick one is 5 yo, as are the 2 girls, and one chubbo is 10 years old...even he only barely touched the loaf food and wanted to bury it...and we all know what that means. ;)

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline URINARY SO Canned Cat Food:

When my cat, Cloudy, was only 5 years old she was diagnosed with kidney issues. Her vet prescribed Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary SO canned cat food for her and it is the only food she has eaten since . . . she loves it! She is now 13 years old, and when people meet her, they think she is a kitten! Her fur is so soft and shiny and her eyes are so bright - clearly her cat food is helping to keep her healthy!

Dexter is picky. This is the only food he SHOULD be eating that I see him dive into. Very happy with this and will order again.

Prescription food

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline URINARY SO Canned Cat Food:

I buy this because my pets like it more than the Hill c/d version. My cat has to eat this as part of a urinary issue diet for life. Before, I was getting food that was made in a human grade factory and they really liked that until my cat had the issue. I wish this food was a little healthier/better quality- but it serves its medical purpose I suppose.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline URINARY SO Canned Cat Food:

Our 4 year old male kitty has to be on this food as maintenance to prevent him from getting blocked. He's had a history of urinary issues and this food helps keep it in check. This food can be a bit pricey, however Petflow offers very competitive pricing and the auto-ship is so convenient! No more having to drive all the way to the vet to pick up his food!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline URINARY SO Canned Cat Food:

Eddie the cat loves this food, and since he has to remain on it due to frequent bouts of cystitis and bladder crystals, that's a good thing! He wouldn't touch the competitor prescription diet, so thank goodness, he will eat the only other choice. He's been on it a month and no health problems so far. The only drawback is the outrageous price, but at least it's cheaper through Petflow.com than when purchasing it at the vet office.

Give my cat quarter of a can in the morning and at night. He LOVES it and looks forward to it each day after he has had some of his dry food.
