My Mittens really likes this one but does prefer the regular so instead of the mod calorie. My vet thinks she's better off on the mod calorie si she doesn't get overweight (for health reasons). She also really loves the dry food as well. My reason for not giving it a higher mark is based on the fact that you use by-products and I know that it would be healthier is it wasn't made that way. Also, this is very expensive it would be nice if went on sale every now and then or you at least had coupons.

Literally the only food my cat will eat!

      By

      from Austin, TX, United States

After he was devised with FLUDTS, we tried every single canned prescription diet available today. Royal Canin urinary s/o morsels was the only food he'd even eat. After a few months when he started to gain weight, we switched to the moderate calorie diet with no problems and he's been happy and healthy ever since!

Cats can't get enough of this!

      By

I recently had to switch my cats to the Urinary SO line and noticed they had "moderate calorie" options. Given my cats are a bit on the chubby side I chose the moderate calorie version, hoping they would not turn their noses up at it. To be on the safe side I also bought some of the regular (calorie) urinary SO food too. I wad thrilled when all three immediately gobbled up the moderate calorie version! It's wonderful that Royal Canin provides an option for meeting two needs (crytal formation & weight issues) in one product.

Seems to be a nice option for their other bigger S/O canned version.

After my cat had a urinary blockage my vet recommended Royal Canin Urinary s/o food to help us avoid future surgery. It's been more than 4 years that my Sam has been enjoying this food and no more blockages. Even better is that once he started eating Royal Canon food his allergies cleared up. I never realized that what we were feeding him before was contributing to him almost scratching his eyebrows hairless. He's about 10 years old now and has the energy he had back when he was two. Truly amazing and grateful.
