Royal Canin MINI Puppy Food is a complete and balanced diet formulated to meet the unique nutritional needs of small breed puppies (up to 22 lbs. at maturity) up to 10 months of age. The digestive capacities of the small breed puppy develop with age, but rather slowly. An exclusive combination of nutrients (such as highly digestible proteins and prebiotics) promote optimal digestion and contribute to a good stool quality. The small breed puppy's immune system needs to be firmly protected during the first year of life, as it gradually loses the immunity transmitted by the mother's milk. Royal Canin MINI Puppy Food helps support the puppy's natural defenses with a unique antioxidant complex, including vitamins E & C and taurine.

Digestive Health: Easy to digest proteins and gentle carbohydrates.

Intensified Energy Content: Meets high energy needs during the growth period, accommodates digestive sensitivity, and satisfies fussy appetites

Dental Health: Specialized kibble helps to reduce dental plaque and limit tartar formation

Chicken meal, brewers rice, chicken fat, corn, corn gluten meal, wheat gluten, dried beet pulp, natural flavors, sodium silico aluminate, vegetable oil, fish oil, calcium carbonate, fructooligosaccharides, potassium phosphate, salt, potassium chloride, L-lysine, hydrolyzed yeast, sodium tripolyphosphate, choline chloride, DL-methionine, taurine, vitamins [DL-alpha tocopherol acetate (source of vitamin E), L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), biotin, D-calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), vitamin A acetate, niacin supplement, thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), riboflavin supplement (vitamin B2), folic acid, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin D3 supplement], trace minerals (zinc proteinate, zinc oxide, manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, copper proteinate, copper sulfate, manganous oxide, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), L-carnitine, rosemary extract, preserved with natural mixed tocopherols and citric acid

He eats it but seems to like the generic food I buy my big dogs better. It makes me wonder if I should be pausing so much for so little. Also I thinks it's drying out his skin he might be allergic to what ever is in there.

Grreat for all ages of small dogs

By

from Lompoc, CA

I breed toy/min Poodles, all feed all my dogs Mini Puppy, young and old. Easy for them to digest, maintain weight and energy. WE do a lot of training with our poodles, starting with obedience to agility. I recommend this to all my new puppy owners. All puppies go home with a sample.

Yorkie s It

By

from Kansas City, MO, United States

Switched 5yr old yorkie from Mini Starter to Mini Puppy. Only food she will eat. Tried Yorkie bred and Bufflo Blue. She wouldn't eat either. Vet said she's not over weight, she's only 5lbs so he's okay with puppy food even though she's not a puppy. She loves the Mini Starter & Mini Puppy. Only food she's eaten since being weened.

Gibbs and Miles loves it !

By

from Garfield, NJ, United States

Our puppies came with Royal Canin dry food, but then we added some puppy can food to it - they goobled it up. It's so nice to have the puppies eat their morning bowl of food everyday. And they're getting great check ups from their vet. At nine months old we'll be transfering to the adult food soon and I don't have any worries about doing so.

Our Shih Tzu Puppy Enjoys This!

By

from Indiana, United States

The breeder we purchased our Shih Tzu puppy from uses only Royal Canin products for their dogs and puppies. We were sent home with a Royal Canin Puppy Kit which contained a small bag of Mini Puppy food, a can of Puppy in Gel Appetite Stimulation starter food, and a food guide. Since our puppy was familiar with the Royal Canin Mini Puppy food, we did not want to change. When our puppy arrived to our home he was a bit stressed from leaving his litter mates and his mom. The long drive home to his new home added to the stress, as well, and his appetite decreased. For the first few days, we added the Royal Canin Puppy in Gel Appetite Stimulator food to the Mini Puppy food to maintain his eating routine. Within the few days, he was back on track with his eating schedule once again and back to simply eating the Mini Puppy food. He recently received his rabies shot and wasn't feeling up to par. He had an upset tummy and wasn't eating well. Our vet suggested to give him something he "could not resist" to stimulate his appetite. Therefore, we made the choice to try the Puppy Healthy Development dog food and add it to his Mini Puppy food. He immediately took to it, and his appetite returned. He really enjoyed the extra treat in his food! We were happy that we had a variety of choices to turn to within the Royal Canin line of puppy food to stimulate his eating just in case we were unsuccessful with the Healthy Development food. Overall, our Shih Tzu puppy loves the taste of his food and we'll stay with Royal Canin throughout his growing years!
