THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CAT FOOD I'VE EVER COME ACROSS. I'VE ALWAYS HAD A CAT. MY CAT DOT CAME FROM A SHELTER AND WAS SIX YEARS OLD. I LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN AND THE BEST FOOD I COULD GET WAS IAMS. DOT WOULD HAVE LOOSE STOOL ALL THE TIME. THEN I CAME ACROSS THIS, IT'S GREAT. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR HER TO GET USED TO IT. NOW NO LOOSE STOOL AND A LOT LESS OF IT.

THANKS PETFLOW,

I thought this would be good, because it's based on the needs of a similar climate to where we live. My cats have gone through one 15-lb bag so far, and they like it well enough. Even better than their old food, which they loved. However, since she's been eating this food, my oldest cat (1 year old in early June 2014) has been building up fat for the first time in her life. She has always been very lean and healthy, but she's gained a thick layer of fat in an alarmingly short amount of time. I'm switching to a different brand as soon as I run out of this. The fat/protein ratio in this is just not quite right.

Note: My two younger cats are getting chubby too, but not as dramatically as Artemis, since they're still growing and burning a lot of energy all the time.

Comments about Taste Of The Wild Rocky Mountain Dry Cat Food:

I was skeptical at first to try this brand as my 4 cats have been on Rx diet for about 4yrs as one has a very sensitive stomach. He wasn't able to eat anything else so I had to put him on a special diet, and since you can't really separate cats food, they have all been eating the same diet. I was shocked that he would even eat it and so far almost 2 weeks later, no issues at all. No diarrhea or discomfort at all, it was a very smooth transition from the Rx food to this limited ingredient food!!!!

Comments about Taste Of The Wild Rocky Mountain Dry Cat Food:

Taste of the Wild, both Canyon River and Rocky Mountain flavors have been fallbacks for our house full of cats. We first discovered this product at a local feed store in Florida before moving to Maine. This grain-free product was not only loved by the 5 gents and the lady, it also put an end to the constant yack clean-up duties convincing me of the importance of feeding grain-free. In addition, the "starving" behavior came to an end with my guys going for 1 14lb bag of grain containing food a week to 1 15 lb bag a MONTH of this product. While the per bag price of Taste of the Wild is about double the cost of the products I was previously buying, the monthly cat food bill was cut in half.

In the past few years we have been testing other products but always come back to Taste of the Wild.

Comments about Taste Of The Wild Rocky Mountain Dry Cat Food:

I have an extremely picky cat. I ordered this food and held my breath per usual. She loved it! She gobbles it down better then any other dry food I have tried so far. She normally will eat a few pieces and graze throughout the day but with this food she actually sticks around and eats for a bit. I will continue to order this food for her.
