Our lab is a pacer who barks at everyone that walks by our house. She gets separation anxiety when the kids or mom is gone. She accepted the coat quickly. Too soon to know if it will help in all situations. I am hesitant about leaving it on for long periods of time since you wouldn't leave a weighted vest or blanket in a child for extended amounts of time. Directions do say to limit time when introducing the product to your dog/cat.
My Shih Tzu mix is afraid of thunderstorms and has an issue with fire alarms. We turned the heat on recently and you know you always get that smell from a/c to heat. This in turns sets off the fire alarms for a few seconds. When this occurs, she hyperventilates, looks up at the ceiling, and tries to find a place to hide. Poor baby. I put the Thunder shirt on her and within 15 minutes she is sound asleep beside my chair. Normally she would have been hiding in the kitchen for the rest of the night. I AM A BELIEVER.
Looking forward to trying Wendy's new Thundershirt on our first travel trip tonight. We have family that live 10+ hours drive and we make the trip several times a year. My Wendy is a good traveler but even a go-getter can find it tough to hang in for more than 10 hours. She's worn the Thundershirt at home a few times and after about 10 minutes, it really does seem to give her a little sen-like chill. Here's hoping it works on the road. .
I was always skeptical of this product however I really am a believer! I put it on her in the midst of a thunder storm and she calmed right down. She has always paced, panted, shook all over and insisted on being wherever we are. I've also used it when we've had people over just to help calm her.
What a hoot! I put a Thundershirt on my higher energy border collie mix yesterday. Within three minutes he was standing with his head lowered as he tried to keep his eyes open. Although there was laughter all around, he continued to be in a dreamy state. This is certainly worth a try.
calms her down well. easy to put on her. made well

Works well on my Shih Tzu. Have to fight them to get it on, but then fine
I am very impressed with the thundershirt. Before, during, and after thunderstorms, my big brindle boxer would hyperventilate and act very fearful. I could even predict when a storm was coming by his response. When I got the thundershirt, I let him smell it and he wagged his tail. He seems to like having it on. Now, whenever storms are predicted, I put it on him in advance and his panic response is much improved. He might still follow me around and pant a little, but nothing like before. Plus it will be a great shirt to wear on walks in cold weather.

The thundershirt really seems to help my dog during thunderstorms. It provides some comfort to him as well as me. I can put it on him in the morning before leaving for work if I know storms are predicted.

Sammy is a scardy cat when he hears rain and windy weather. He likes to hide beside the bed until the storm passes. I tried the thundershirt to see if it would help. I wasn't sure he would let me put it on him or if he would wear it after it was on him. Well, it was OK with him! He has worn it a few times now and does not resist it at all. It does seem to give him a hug and calm him a bit. I have not let him wear it when I am not home yet- but may try soon.
