Feline Asthma Kit
|Available Options||MSRP||Your Price|
The AeroKat Feline Asthma kit will provide you with the necessary items to treat your cat's respiratory problems. Included in this kit are the Aerokat chamber with two mask sizes and an informative DVD and instructions to help you use the Aerokat properly.
When the AeroKat is attached to the puffer it allows your cat to breathe normally and inhale the aerosol medication so that the medication goes deep into your cats' lungs where it is needed.
Follow the instructions for care and cleaning of the AeroKat device. Avoid using during acute bronchospasm. Allergic reactions to medications may occur. Be sure to inform VetSource and your veterinarian if your pet has any known drug sensitivities or allergies. If your pet displays symptoms of an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian immediately or go to a veterinary emergency clinic. Symptoms may include but are not limited to: swollen lips, tongue, face, airways; difficulty breathing; agitation; profuse salivation; vomiting; widespread hives and itching.
When using the device with a metered-dose inhaler, it is recommended that the mask be in place for 7-10 breaths. You can note the breaths by movement of the green flap (valve) at the mask end of the device.

Comments about Feline Asthma Kit:
My cat has feline asthma and without Aerokat, he would not be able to get his inhaler twice daily. It's amazing how cooperative he is while using the Aerokat. I can't get him to take pills or liquids but will allow me to place this over his mouth/nose to get his inhalant.
The trick is to give him his inhaler in the same place every time. I place him on the foot of my bed and have him sit down with his body against mine and my left arm around him, scratching his chest/throat area. This way, he can't back up. After a few days, they are used to the device but the sound of the aerosol spraying in the chamber sometimes still makes them nervous. Praise them when you're finished and offer a treat.
