My cat has a few immune issues and above all else is allergic to chicken (yes, chicken). This is one of the few brands out there that make their product without any chicken, other than the ultra-expensive prescription diet foods. My cat loves this kibble and we see no reaction to the foods in his allergies at all. Love this brand!

This food was the first dried food my wife and I bought after our tomcat was diagnosed with a chicken allergy. We appreciated the more reasonable price-point that Natural Balance offered. It helped him gain some weight back and his intestines healed, and for that we are grateful! It was also kind of fun to go around the house saying "Duck & Pea," I guess we're a little goofy and immature sometimes. However, not too long afterward our cat turned his nose up at it and refused to eat it, (which must have required some willpower because it was all we were offering at the time.) We went to the store to shop around for other options, and while they are hard to come by, we did find something else he enjoyed so we moved on.

Comments about Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Green Pea and Duck Dry Cat Food:
Using this for cats with skin irritations. Once I changed to thus food, the scratching and biting of her lower back stopped. Her fur has grown back in and you'd never know she had been having issues.

Cats love it and so do I

I use this for all my cats although I initially got it for only one of the cats. All the cats seem to like the taste, including the cat who needed to be on a grain-free diet. I have two cats who needed to lose some weight and they have lost a bit on this food, even though they are getting the same amount. I think it's healthier and more digestible.
Great online company/great products.

We feed five cats. Buying in bulk is cheaper and free shipping to house is convenient. 80 lbs of dry kibble is heavy so only lugging the box in the door from the porch is a plus.
Feeding this to all of my cats now.
I've pretty much changed the whole herd to this food. They aren't all crazy for it, but they eventually clean their dishes.
The gang...well some of them :)

My cat began eating this food at the shelter because she had a skin condition. While there her skin began to improve, and the fur began to grow back in on her backside. Now she's happy and glossy.
Have been using this for years
Have been using this L.I.D. food for several years due to our indoor cat's allergies. She likes this food, and it has helped with her scratching.
Great for allergies.
I started using this food when one of my cats was scratching/chewing her lower back. I did some research and found that it might be caused by a food allergy. We wanted a limited ingredient food with a novel protein for her and this fit the bill. She no longer has itching issues. I wouldn't say she is crazy about this food, but it works and that's worth it.
Good food for sensitive stomachs.

Pricier than most but of the highest quality
I always thought of Natural Balance as too pricey for my budget but I was forced to try it when one of my two adopted kittens showed signs of food allergies and sensitivities (excessive grooming, scratching, bald patches, etc.). My vet pushed for this type of food and after mixed results from other brands I decided I would give it a try. Both kittens loved the taste and did not hesitate in switching foods. Formerly they both had loose stools, and this helped firm them up for easier litter box cleaning. And even my vet noticed how much softer and shinier their coats had become at their next visit. Best of all, the sensitive one stopped tearing out chunks of her fur; the bald patches are all gone. Suffice it to say I am very happy with this product and I have managed to keep it affordable with coupons and watchful monitoring for sales.
