As novice pet parents, we've been through it all with a mature Ragdoll who developed IBD and was losing weight rapidly. I'm talking an extended hospital stay, expensive testing, etc. She lost 3 pounds (30% of her body weight=scary!) and was consistently vomiting. The specialist tried a couple different hypo-allergenic formulas with different brands, but the R/C Pea and Duck dry is her favorite. We free feed and she grazes on kibbles throughout the day. We also feed this to our other Ragdoll from her litter and he loves it, as well. I am happy to report her scans show her IBD has not gotten any worse and she is back up to her original weight when we adopted her. THAT is what it's all about, folks. Believe me when I say we celebrated every ounce and pound that she was able to put back on. She is back to her old, playful self, or as the vet reports stated "BAR"--bright and responsive! Your product has given us our girl back. Thank you!

Too expensive. These cats are lucky I love them!!!
The one who needs the special food still has issues with itchy ears and an itchy belly. I continue to buy the food because the vet says so. I assume it's healthier anyway, so whatever...

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food:

My cat Lazarus had chronic diarrhea for the first seven months of his life. We tried everything. Medicines, change in diet, you name it. Finding this food was the best thing that ever happened to us. Since eating this food, Lazarus has had normal, healthy bowel movements. I only wish that this food was affordable. It costs an arm and a leg. My baby is entirely worth it, but it's really hard to be able to feed him, feed myself, AND pay bills. The price is absolutely outrageous and unethical.

    My cats love this diet!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food:

I had struggled to find a novel protein diet for my senior cat. I had tried several diets but she continued to vomit daily. After switching her to the RC PD, she ceased vomiting and has even gained some weight! She looks forward to me filling her food bowl every day.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food:

Approximately 8 years ago our kitty started to develop digestive problems. She ended up requiring two surgeries in a very short time frame. Our vet recommended this food. She has been on it with no problems...and is now a very happy 12 year old kitty...with many years ahead of her!

I used this because the other brand was having a difficulty getting duck. My cat preferred the taste of this product and is so excited about this food. If he's happy, I'm happy.

    By

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food:

My rescue cat developed pillow pad (Plasma Cell Pododermatitis) shortly after we adopted her. With steroids & Green Pea and Duck diet, she has maintained her good health for 7 years, with only occasional flares. My other cat is perfectly happy to share the food.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Selected Protein Adult PD Dry Cat Food:

My Siamese cat is 15 years old but looks and acts like a 3 year cat. When we discovered she was allergic to other cat food due to the additives or vet suggested we try Royal Canin food. I am so glad we did, at her age she is very healthy and her coat is so soft. Thank you Royal Canin!

My cat, Twilight, loves this food. I have tried various other brands and combinations and this has been her favorite for quite awhile now. I try to eat healthy myself. With Royal Canin, I am assured by my veterinarian that she is eating healthy also.
